For all you do-it-yourselfers who work on their own engines and who have or are considering owning rigs with Cummins engines, be aware that Cummins uses all metric fasteners on their engines.



Cummins electronic diesel engines are backed with a 5-year/100,000-mile (160,935 km) standard warranty, which is supported by the most extensive customer support in North America. ISB AD ratings have a standard base warranty of 3 years/75,000 miles (120,701 km).

Cummins engines offer a broad range of power for every size motorhome on the market. Virtually every manufacturer of motorhomes offers Cummins diesel power. Here is a partial list, with links to their web sites.

ISX - Dual overhead cams, an integrated engine brake, and up to 600 horsepower.

Cummins - ISX


ISM - Designed for long-distance cruising up and down the interstate. With the highest power-to-weight ratio in its class, the ISM 450 and 500 horsepower ratings let you climb every mountain.

ISL - The most popular engine in the motorhome market. Flatten those hills with ratings from 350 to 400 horsepower.

ISC - With 330 horsepower and 950 lb-ft of torque, the ISC will get you where you need to go in a hurry. Plus, it's up to 50% quieter than previous models.

ISB - An electronic fuel system and a Variable Geometry Turbocharger make the 325-hp ISB up to 80% quieter than its predecessor. It also runs cleaner and faster with better fuel economy and your choice of 600 or 660 lb-ft of torque.
