Coil 'n Wrap has done it again with another ingenious item to make life easier and safer for those on the road. PLUG DOGS often commonly referred to as Pull Dogs or Plug Pullers, fit the male and female ends of standard 30 & 50 amp plugs.

The use of PLUG DOGS make unplugging and separating plugs much easier. These handles enable the user to easily disconnect cables from electrical outlets or from each other and prevents electrical cord breakdown that comes as a result of wiggling and twisting the cord when unplugging.

The Problem

30 amp and 50 amp plugs when plugged together or plugged into an outlet fit into the outlet or fit together very tightly when joined to ensure good electrical connection. The problem occurs when attempting to disconnect these plugs from each other or from an outlet. They are very difficult to grasp and pry apart. Sometimes one must resort to attempting to pry them apart with a screw driver blade. This is both dangerous to the user as such action might result in an electrical shock as well as bad for the plugs themselves as they might be damaged during this process.

The Solution

PLUG DOGS are the solution to the above problem. By grasping the strong, easy to grip handle and then by pulling out bulky, difficult to handle power plugs the PLUG DOGS are safe and easy to use, as PLUG DOGS pull the plugs out correctly, increasing the life of cables and receptacles. They are very durable and made from non-wicking, non-conductive, non-flammable polypropylene nylon.

Installation and Operation

For most effective use, these need to be attached to both the male and female ends of plugs and do not have to be removed. They are then to be used for unplugging 30-amp cords from the receptacle or for separating your 30-amp cord from the 50-amp plug adapter.

If you are using a 50-amp plug adapter you will want 2 30-amp and 1 50 amp PLUG DOGS. The 50 amp PLUG DOG is for the receptacle end and one 30 amp PLUG DOG is for the regular cord end and the second for the female side of the 30-amp portion of the dog-bone. 50 amp users will want two 50's and 1 30, as one 50 is for the end of the cord, the other for the female of the dog bone and the 30 amp PLUG DOG for the opposite end.

Autoformer or Surge Guard users as well as those who are using extra lengths of 30 or 50 amp cables will require more.

Two 50 Amp PLUG DOGS are needed in order to properly separate connections when using your surge protector, autoformer or plug adapters. One is used for the male and one is used for the female end.

All PLUG DOGS are held in place around the bulky plugs by industrial strength Velco and the handles attached to the Velco straps are made of non-conductive, non-flammable polypropylene nylon.
